Prepare to enter the Age of Extinction. Dinobots also confirmed as a part of the movie.
Just when you thought the Transformers movies couldn’t blow up or decimate more cities, they are about to enter the Age of Extinction. Michael Bay’s next Transformers movie has been given the subtitle Age of Extinction which will probably involve a lot of explosions and robots hitting each other.
Small plot details have started to emerge about the film as well. Mark Wahlberg had already been confirmed as the films lead, replacing Shia LeBeouf. Wahlberg will reportedly play a struggling inventor and father to Nicola Peltz. Peltz will play a girl called Tessa who is dating Jack Reynor’s racing car driver, Shane. Kelsey Grammer will be a villain of the piece called Harold Attinger. No further information has been disclosed about his character.
In a slight nod to the 80′s cartoon, the popular fan favourites, the Dinobots have been confirmed as a part of the new movie. The Dinobots are Autobots, who instead of turning into cars and trucks, turn into dinosaurs. The rumor of their inclusion has been circulating for a few weeks but the films producer, Lorenzo di Bonaventura solidified the news yesterday. Optimus Prime and friends are likely to return although nothing has been confirmed about the evil Megatron involvement.
Michael Bay and the cast are currently filming the franchises latest installment with a July 27th 2014 release date expected.
